Something every V300 owner will have encountered at some point or other, here's the new V3M Photo Comp Title:

Rust in Peace

Not too morbid I hope, but should hopefully get some interesting entries, unless you're all in Mallorca at the moment. Send your photos to me at this address:

Same rules as always!

*One entry per person
*No major photoshopping, If a magazine editor would get away with it, then it's fine (colour levels, balancing, exceeedingly light airbrushing are ok)
*Judging: a new thread will be made in the Photo section, vote for whoever you think is the best (be that your own or someone elses)
*Photos don't need to have been taken specifically for this competition, but don't enter ones we've had in other competitions
*The photos in this round should be either self taken or contain your car...
*If it's not a 300 or at least a Volvo... it better be a REALLY good shot

Closing time is 11:59 PM on the 31st of August, so we've got a whole month left.

Hmm, 2 weeks into the competition and, as Mr Clarkson would say, "I've been literally inundated with ... zero entries". I take it, all Volvo 300s on the road today are rust-free and immaculate That' a good thing!

But, it is not required that it is 300 that is rusting in peace as we can think bit out of box in these ones I believe? As long as there is 300 and there is rusting in peace involved in a photo

I do have few possible shots, but none of quality which I'm hoping to get. However if I can't come up with anything better, then I will send one of which I have currently available. You should see my entry up at coming weekend.

Isn't it normally the done thing that everyone goes out about 30mins before handin to take a pic I'll be in buddy, I havn't taken anything yet though. Twas hoping for rusty things at the weekend, but they were all a bit shiny!

My new idea just did happen to pop into me head this morning, you will see something different, that is for sure

I should have some good pics that I could use for this one.

That Mk1 gutter trim is surely still valuable, the chrome trim is so much better than the stuff used on mk2's and 3's

Ahem, it looks like that I kind of forgot to send pic when at home, must see if I still have those on memory card so I could send them from road, but not too sure about that.

Thanks for reminding me Aukki, great pic by the way!

I suggest an extension of the "get your pics in by" date by one week, so Aukki has someone to compete against

I got into a weekend of epic, so didn't get a piccy in. If the deadline has been extended I'll make sure I do it in the next couple of days!

I did send one entry, let me know if it is ok for competition?
