The strut top mounts are the usual hen's teeth I'm afraid :-( As for bearings, try

BOGE
87-083-L

or

SNR
M254.00

Cheers

The OE Nr. for the bearing is 3266405-4 It shouldn't be a problem finding something from another manufacturer that matches ...

Cheers

Just read this, super, I knew someone would have a part number. See your pm's Ben for a part no to bearing converty thingy

EDIT: Damn, doesn't show. Hang on, I'll see what else I can find

EDIT AGAIN:

http://www.teiledirekt.de/product_info. ... 57/refID/2

https://www.preisroboter.de/ergebnis12729411.html

Shows VAG group part numbers for the same bearing, which may be in a catalogue if the bearing company is US based

Im lost.
Searches for that linked part number show no results?

Ring up Audi, Seat or VW and see if they stock them (part no's in the second link), by the looks of those adverts they are identical, or try and find any of Ruville, Sachs, Boge or Monroe dealers and see if they can get the relevant part no from the first link. The bearing itself seems very common.

Then it's just a case of tops, which may be a scrappy job if you can rebearing?

I recommend

http://www.kfz-teile-preiswert.de

They use carparts-cat.com's database, which is superb. Paste 3266405* into the input field underneath "Artikelsuche" and bob's yer uncle. I don't think the German will be a problem.

Thanks again Tom (and Everyone else)
I THINK ive sorted the bearings.

Going to pick them up tomorow morning.

When no doubt I'll realise Ive quoted the part number wrong or some similar idiocy.

Check out nomead's posts here too:

It seems the Seat Ibiza bearing is the one to go for.

The part number was seat ibiza, audi 80, vw everything, volvo 360 etc.
So hopefully its the right part.

The strut tops are now nla from volvo. The best tops were the ones fitted to the early 360's with a steel casing - the seem to survive better. I'm fairly certain there is no off the self strut top that matches up.

The ones I do are all steel with a built in bearing. This is much better for damper life as it does not get turned. It would be great if teh police spec ones were available.

 EXPLAIN! Those sound awesome. I upgraded to some of those bowl steel design top mounts a while back, but Ben's top mounts are A-ok, it's the upper spring cup malarkey and bearing that's bolloXXXed.
