Hey guys, how are we all??

Well, I still have the BMW but i'm thinking of taking it off the road for a bit to maybe undergo a few plans I have creeping around. So in the meantime I fancy myself a nice lil' retro cheap car and of course the 340 was one of the first to pop into my head. Bloody love 'em hehe!

I'm preferably after a 1.4 although I would consider a 1.7 MOT/Tax is preferable although as long as it could get through and MOT it's not a major problem. As I say, main thing is, it needs to be CHEAP (looking £300 tops). I'm based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands and will travel upto probs 50mile or so depending on how good a deal it seems

Loads of nice 1.4's about at the moment - I'd check the VOC, a few floating around

Lol, I'm sure I mentioned it in the past but i'll sure as hell mention it again. I really really have took to these cars from having the 16v! Give me one of these to rock out with over a MK2 Golf anyday!

Hey Steve how's things? Have you STILL got your lovely 360 'loon bud? I've been working in Birmingham alot recently with no sign of any 300's about Keep seeing an old boy in a 340 nearly everyday driving down the Wilenhall road coming out of Wolverhampton lol. Always make a big deal of seeing one on the road still god i'm sad!

Nah afraid I haven't, rust got the better of my motivation/funds! Where abouts in Brum are you working? I see a couple about occasionally and there's a madly stickered up one (as in covered!) driven by a guy in a high vis jacket!

A little high on miles, but should be fine - and the 1.7 is more economical than the 1.4 anyway. Besides, you'll only get itchy fingers and want to 16v it, so it makes sense

Right, i'm sorted now guys, ta' for those who PM'd me etc. I've picked up a VW Polo MK2 (Breadvan) which was the other car I wanted aswell as the 340.

I'll still be sticking around though
