Saw two of these today... all I can say is WHAT THE HELL... I nearly had a 'mini-sick' moment. When did Volvo start producing cars so ugly?

Unfortunately I can't find any pictures that make them look quite as bad as they do on UK roads!

mum and dad have looked at both the ssangyoung and the xc60 thought about putting maself up for adoption (mind the xc60 is actually quite a nice car to be fair) then they went totally the opposite way and bought a brand new audi a5 s-line in black with 5 spoke 19s has to be one of the most beautiful cars ever, they get at me for being stupid with cars then they go and buy a 4 seater coupe with 255/35/19 tyres great for on the farm

Those lights look like a mazda. Very soon all cars will just be exactly the same just with a different badge. Damn commies! It's a conspiracy!

Hmm, I believe it did start sometime around 2nd V70 was introduced, or was it first already one of those soap boxes?

S/V40 was not pretty, but not too ugly, cars after that have been quite bad looking, imo.

But it is same with all brands really, hard to find any clear lines nowdays, usually they are just like piece of soap, flat but very rounded, maybe they just forgot chamfer on when modelling those?

I don't know, I start feeling age again, better to go to bed

So, as a summary, the last good Volvo was the S90 / V90 and they should still be making something boxy and RWD? Actually I wouldn't mind having one of those. Stick a turbo on the 3.0 or just replace it with the T6 (from S80) and hey presto, the big pile of Swedish steel actually starts moving.

Why cant headlights go from sideways these days?
why do they HAVE to go backwards too!?
It looks ugly 90% of the time and theres REALLY no need for it.

Totally agree! The second C70 has a way to small nose. And now the 'third' (actually face lift of the second).... Let's just not talk about that one
