Saab 9000 Redblock?

Hi Guys,
I've been looking for a replacement engine for my 360 GLT, preferably a B234 - the 16V version of the 2.3 litre. They seem pretty rare, annoyingly, but my rampant googling lead me to discover that Saab 9000's apparently use the same engines as our treasured volvos! Case in point:

Now, is that just wishful thinking, or did Saab & volvo share engines for a while there? And if so, just how similar are they? I'm not skilled enough to be making new engine mounts etc yet, so I'm after something a little more straightforward...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, it's wishful thinking. They're just named the same by coincidence.

Curses! Back to searching I go...any suggestions beyond here and ebay for engine purchasing?

I believe... that the Saab block shown is the slant that was ex Triumph? I.e. the continuation of the Dolly 1850 engine, which itself is half of the stag V8?
