Here's the description from the original advert:

"
Renault Megane 2.0 F7R bottom end (55k miles)
Clio 1.8 16v head
Kent cams
Piper vernier pulleys
Renault 5 GTT uprated clutch
Clio 16v flywheel
JB3 valver gearbox
Standard 16v exhaust manifold
Gunnerchip in ph1 ecu

New parts during overhaul:
Cambelt kit w/ tensioner and idler
Bottom end gasket set
Headgasket set
Valeo uprated clutch kit
Auxilliary belt
Waterpump
Thermostat
Spark plugs
Oil filter and oil "

It's a bit different now, I've had it running on 40s and it went like stink, I level-pegged with a new focus ST (quick cars them) up to 100, then aerodynamics took over and I started losing ground. Annihilated an SLK200 kompressor, and almost kept up with a full-fat scooby STi WRX thing. With 45s it'd be significantly better. I took the cams out as they were very mild, so it's on standard 1.8 cams now, with standard pulleys. The next step would be more aggressive cams and 45s, or fancy chips.
This is an F7R 714 from a megane, meaning it has a better but larger chain driven oil pump. This meant it needed a modified steel sump and notched crossmember, I'll grab pics later and these ARE included in the sale.

Price without carbs or injection parts, but with modified sump and crossmember, is a low, low £200
I have a loom, chipped ECU, and polished inlet available but want £100 more for that. (pic to follow)

Carbs I'd like to see £200, for that you can have the fancy alloy inlet I just bought but haven't used:

Also a supersprint manifold ideal for modifying to fit a 340, £130:

Any questions or offers please PM me, I'm flexible with regards to couriers and collection so come on folks, this is your chance to make that 340 sleeper you've been dreaming of! Mine got nothing but positive comments from members of the public, charvers I raced and whupped, even the various AA men were complimentary.

Tom I have a williams manifold and modifed downpipe (which isn't pretty but works ok). Willy manifolds with standard DPs cost £80-£90, but you can have mine cheaper as I pipped you to this engine in the first place. Making the rest of the system fit this only requires a 45 degree bend and some weld, it'll point towards the back of the car leaving you free to spec the rest of the thing.

John, what do you want for the ECU? I owe Adam one. Gunnerchip in it vaguely interests me, but only for geeky nosey ness ;)

Hi John,

I've got the Willy downpipe and manifold, it's the rest of the system I need to look into getting.

That's bargainous for the specs on the engine, if I didn't already have my engine sitting around waiting to go in, I'd be all over it like a rash!

PM on its way mate.

Some pictures of the sump and strengthened crossmember:

The crossmember might look a bit ghetto but I promise it's plenty strong enough. The untidy edge nearest the ARB there isn't structural now, and is just an odd shape to clear the sump.

Did I mention the enigine comes with modified hoses so it'll plug straight into the radiator and heater matrix?

No interest in the engine yet though, I'm gonna put it up on the renault forums for more than the V3M special price here. I'd really like it to stay in volvo world, we need more 340s that can beat mk5 golf GTis!

Sounds like a good idea to go and make some angles is you old jobs car park with your boss still in the car!

Nah gutted for you mate!

John, propper bit o' kit that! If I didn't have 36,000 projects on the go, I'd be very interested.

And, um, don't go alcoholing the angling, other wise the 1400 will be one hand full, and the other hand will be wet from spilt stella.... not good!

Aw man, that's crap, hope something turns up soon. I may end up dropping this engine into a cheap 340 and sell it whole. In fact, I really don't want to sell it at all, it's so cool.
