Lovely car dude!
Paint looks amazing and the interior is very clean indeed.

Fitting powersteering is totally possible, theres a thread somewhere which lists all the parts you need. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

From another thread.

Do people convert their cars to pas or don't they seem to bother? Would it be a hard job to do?

I have also noticed that the window on the tailgate reaches right to the edge except for a trim strip on my car, but on the 360 I remember from years ago and also with regard to the disscussions that I have had regarding the louvre style stipes on the glt's and getting them made, that the earlier cars had a smaller rear screen.

What are the subtle and major styling differences regarding the 360?

Ian.
The conversion has been done, I was thinking of it at one point, but then ended up buying a PAS car instead You get used to the heavy steering on non-PAS 360s, tyre choice (and pressure) makes a difference too.

Another major "styling difference" between Mk2 and Mk3 cars is the rear screen, Mk2s (and Mk1s) had a smaller screen with rounded edges. On Mk3 GLTs the "louvre strips" were dropped.

not too difficult an upgrade - you just need the pump, rack and associated pipework but I gather new parts for PAS equipped cars are scarcer.

Check this post for more details:

Inner track rods are extremely hard to find for PAS cars. Outer track rod ends (ball joints?) are the same as for non-PAS models.

Welcome, valdemaras! That's a nice car you have there! Interesting choice of radio :-)

The biggest problem with converting to PAS is finding LHD parts. Power steering was standard on many models in RHD UK, but not over here, so that explains the limited supply of parts. I gave up in the end, and just bought a car which had PAS already fitted ;-)

Here are some pics of the parts you might need:

and the problems I had in finding replacement parts when the car I bought failed it's MOT due to play in the PAS ;-)

That reminds, me - I need to update that last thread, since the cars' passed now ...

Cheers

Not at all ;-) A RHD rack helped me out a lot in my "tie rod" predicament ...

the radio came with the car from last owner, bet because of the bad economical situation, the thief are very active, they have already stolen the stereo from my previous car and my brothers car, so i decided to leave that radio, just in case :)

What the thieves don't know, is that it's quite a sought-after classic radio which was fitted to late '70s / early '80s 300s and 200s. I would guess it's worth around 40 - 80 Euros on German Ebay ...
