I wasnt sure about whether to post this question as its a silly one
I have a 1989 360 GLT and AFAIK i cant seem to rev it past 5400 rpms although the engine it has in the manual states it produces max power at 5800 rpms.
(take note i have only done this test once or twice in the past and generally dont like revving the nuts out of any engine-even if its warm plus the stockB200E in my car doesnt seem to like revving past 4500rpm really )
What do your volvos rev up to guys? ANn thoughts?

I think mine has a limiter.I have seen an indicated 5700-5800 rpms but when i did (and it the engine was warm i promise) it seemed to take a long time to rev up to there, sounded strained (the noisey fan doesnt help though),and i found that it seems to loose a lot of power after about 5400-5500 rpms.
Maybe its just my tachometer reading slighty off? Maybe im just bieng fussy ?
