Wow, that looks supreme.
Lots of painted over rot from the look of the pics though.

Looks like the one I just bought, with extras and higher price tag to match! Really wish we could get a supply of those window louvres. Anyone know how they fix on? I wonder if one could be made up out of fibreglass. Note the early wheels

Some fixing points are glued onto the windscreen. Then the louvre is fitted to those ...
Pity about the painted over rot. Front wings are still available for the Mk1, with or without indicator holes, but you'd definitely want to save them because of the stripes

If i wasn't restoring another 300, and this came up for sale at the time i was buying mine, i would have bought this! What an amazing looking car, i saw the ad last week and i fell in love with it.

and I lost an auction for one damn damn
I don't like how flimsy the plastic is that they are made from though! I had an Escort mk1 louvre which I bought and resold on the bay and the thing was like new but so fragile!
I would not run one on a car all of the time.
In Australia/America there are several people remaking the popular ones out of aluminium. It would be cool if someone on here could do the same! I have too much on to have a side project like that atm but it would be possible, if a little time consuming. Once you have the template you're away though! Same goes for fibreglass.
Cool mk1 in the original post BTW

Was that a mk1/2 or mk3 one you were bidding on? Super rare to see come up

Aye dude, mk1/2 NOS. Was in August this year IIRC. I lost out by a euro.
The guy knew of a car layed up with one on also, and contacted the owner on my behalf to ask if he would part with it but no dice!
I have success searching for stuff on the bay if I really want something. That auction got a bit rich for me though and I bid higher than I intended! I put my bid in thinking it was in £GBP, so if I had bid that little bit more...who knows!
To pour further salt into the wound, the seller worked for the post office and was gonna send it for £8!
Would have mentioned it on here but I only bid in the last 2/3/4 seconds anyway so it would have gone through the roof days before I intended to bid lol.
It only had 10 views when I first saw it! Auction was 2 days old. 10 day listing though, greedy cnut.
Dunno why the pics have uploaded so small BTW :/ Can see the info better here
