Carbb?

Hey, i have a volvo 340 1.4 with a weber carb and when i start it it just keeps reving and wont stop, i have had the carb to bits and everything seems fine. Does anybody have any ideas what it is?

What are you ment to look for i see the rubber plunger thingy and it isnt persihed or anything like that ?

try again, but this time take the throttle cable linkage away
(disconnect the connector rod between throttle cable and carb with the plastic couplings)

i bet you have a busted throttle cable

Its not that its more likly to be the penumatic choke in side of the carb, how do you know if the diaphragm is working properly?

if the pneumatic choke is faulty it hesitates to start on full choke but will start on 3/4 choke.

all this membrane does is if manifold vacuum is build up, it sucks the leaver and allows the choke plate to open slightly allowing air inside the barrel.
