Hi all, im new to v3m i have been with driftworks for a little while and they have suggested you guys will be able to help me. I have a 340 1.7 which i have had the usual probs with it not running right due to the carb warping. i have a 1.8 16v which i got from nick @ dc garage n i want to run it on bike carbs but was wondering if i need any particular carbs, i have my eye on a few sets of gsxr 600/srad carbs, will these do as im sure i will have to get them re-jetted any way. Thanks for reading help is greatly appreciated.

As long as youve got a manifold to fit, I dont think it makes any nevermind dude.
Rejettings gonna be needed no matter what, so i dont think its gonna matter which carbs you use.
But im usually wrong man.

Personally I'd go for injection and use the ecu/loom from the donor car... it's not too much extra work to drop in a high pressure pump and lines

I'd worry 600cc carbs arnt going to flow enough... 600cc at 10grand isn't going to be enough for 1800cc at 7k in my mind but you'll have to work it out!

So if i run the standard clio injection i will have to run new higher pressure fuel lines?? please forgive me, i dont know my arsehole from my earhole wen we get techical about fuel pressure and delivery rates. i have heard a rumour that the wiring is easy to swop over from standard 1.7 volvo to 1.8 16v cclio lumps but dont believe that for a second since it is a french engine.

Loom is easy to do i can sort you a loom and associated bits out. Have a look in the offer section at my conversion parts.
