Snow Thread (again)

Been quite heavy up here in NE.
Good hangover cure, a quick run round in a foot of snow!

It was tad cold to snap a photo (couldn't bother to put winter gear on, so wen't out in t-shirt), also bit dark, but I think you get the idea. I did put temperature meter there from my temperature logging software called Lämpömittari.



It was quite blue outside to my eye too, but photo was perhaps tad too much blue and well too much red, however it looks nice, imo

Didn't take a picture... but, I went to see what condition the 360 is in, having stood in the parking lot for almost a month now. I had cleaned it of snow and ice a couple times, but there was still about 15 cm of it on the car. Some of it was even melted and then frozen again from the time it was +2°C earlier this week. Now it's a healthy -15°C, so everything that could be frozen, was. The battery was naturally flat and frozen solid, so I took it inside to thaw before trying to recharge it.

When it is fully melt, check water level and fill if needed, then important thing is that don't never ever try to charge it indoors. It can be that because of expansion from ice it might have shorted cells, if you try to charge it indoors there is possibility of getting acid all over, in really bad situation it can even explode.

edit: It is now around -22C, decided to take pic from yank tank, I have not driven it since early December. I think that I should take snow off from it, that might be bit heavy load to it?


Piss colour comes from those annoying streetlamps that are other side of the house, there was nice moon too, but it was not enough strong to overpower piss colour lamps.

Only 5mm of snow here in Doncaster We hardly get much, last time I remember more than few inches was 1982!
No 300 on the road at the moment so can't even enjoy what we have got This cold weather is slowing down progress on the 340, just can't summon up the energy to get into the cold garage at the moment.

Unless I'm terrible wrong, in week or two you should get more snow.

I've been working on the 340 today...I find that the cold is good incentive to work fast and get a lot done!

For this two spanker job you will need:
1 brush, preferrably designed for removing snow covering your vehicle, however one used to wash car is suitable. Toothbrush is not recommended, snow will melt before you get car cleaned from snow, also smell of freshmint causes cats and dogs to pee over car.

Grab firmly from your brush, stand between front tire and front door, point your arm straight front of you and lower brush against evil snow that cover your car. Make swift movements towards front grill of your vehicle and see how snow is removed revealing your car and your snowcap.

Warning: Do not sweep towards windshield from bonnet area, that may cause snow to enter inside of snowcap, which will be an slight issue as it is almost impossible to clear and certainly will affect heaters ability to defrost your windshield.

Success is not guaranteed and author can't be held responsible from any damage caused by these instructions

Thats exactly what youd do if you DIDNT have a Snowcap fitted!
I thought a Snowcap would negate all of the hard work.

But like the recent seance with the ghost of Micheal Jackson, i have been left disapionted and suspicious.

I belive that someone has led you to a miss in this snowcap business. Even such device is very efficient stopping snow piling into heater box, it has very limited ability to stop snow covering the car, I would say such ability is pretty much nonexistent.

You should sue person that did that wrongdoign of lying it's abilities to you, that should teach him
