Do you remember a tv advertisement with the 340 and dummies?

That was the thread, yet unfortunately after extensive searching I still couldn't find the video or the site which showed the actual car in a dealership with the story to go with it.

I am new here,so I didn´t know that you had a long descusion about this.This Volvo was red and the dummie falled from a third floor to the street.I have a magazine of 1989 with an article about this,but I don´t have scaner

The catchword in Spanish was "Volvo,respuesta segura" the same of the stickers behind the cars.

Wow, that magazine article sounds good! Like I say, I've either seen a scan of the magazine article or a web site with the info about the commerical and 340 used in the ad being kept in a Volvo dealership somewhere. The ideal thing, though never likely to happen is finding the commerical itself! I'll do some more research into it and see what I can come up with!

i have a copy of a volvo booklet with details about the advert and how they made it...

also.... whilst watching star wars that my dad filmed in the 1980s when I was about 8 yrs old.... there was a commercial break with adverts from the 80s... and.... THERE WAS THE 340 ADVERT!!!!!!! So Im looking into getting it made into a video for the pc.... I know its possible I just need to find someone with the equipment....

I also need to look for the booklet...

Im not home till April but I'll try to remember to try to find it... its part of a black book published by volvo in the 80s all about volvo vlaues..... I think.....

Excellent work mate! I thought that there might be a small possibility someone had recorded something with it in the adverts, but for it to survive that long without being recorded over is great! If you could get someone to turn it into a PC file that would be ace! And a scan of the booklet if you can find it would be great too! I knew someone would be able to help.

I have here the magazine:the advertisement was made in London and the cars falled from a 4th floor!! I said "the cars" because they used five Volvo and the advertisement had a cost of 30.000.000 pesetas of 1989

30.000.000 pesetas = 180.303 €

ok.... i've located the video

got equipment lined up to make it into a movie file for the pc....

but..... its march now and i dont go home till april... and it will be may 15th before i can convert it...

but..... its on the way!!!!!
