well decided to take mine off today, they were peeling and i wanted to see what it would look like without them. i actually prefer it. but couldn't believe it that the previous owner used SUPERGLUE to stick some of it on but after a long time scrubbing with a petrol, all seems well but its damaged the paint for sure as im yet to see it in daylight

Sticky stuff remover has never failed me. It'll take a bit of time but it will come off eventually. Use an ice scraper to help it along.
