Christ that would be scary. Blindspot or not, you'd notice if you'd hit something surely?!

As the Merc one shows it happens when people change lanes at the same time as the lorry and do not check their (car) blind spot. The merc is spun around really slowly and gently bumps up against the lorry. Looks like the lorry just feels like he going over a bump in the road. It is also pretty well insulated from the noise of the engine so he can't hear the screeching as well as the filming car occupants can.

I wonder what you could do to get out it, reversing or powering out of it is likely to be disastrous. In a tunnel flashing your lights might work.

Powering out would be the best option tbh, you'd end up in the armco but at least you wouldn't be sliding along at 60mph.

I can understand what happened with the merc but the renault? Seriously, I have friends who drive lorries for a living. Even though those DAFs have a real bad blindspot I couldn't see myself running into a car and not noticing, regardless of vehicle.

the guy hitting the merc must have noticed, he went back over to his original lane

and why did the people filming the clio not get in front of the truck, and gradually slow down?

I found the tunnel one a few weeks ago on youtube, then saw the other yesterday on the news. It just shows how split second timing and blinds spots on two vehicles can come together! You need to carry distress flares to set off out the sunroof if you get stuck like that in a car

That video is pure class sm4 ....which reminds me..on ym way to college in my mates car we saw a lady get stuck in a ditch in her 'psuedo 4x4' of some description in the morning... shame..if she had been pretty im sure my mate would have pulled over to give her a hand (so i wont feel bad about it)

Can't check vids as I'm running on my backup net, GPRS only, 5kb/s...

Anyway you don't need to do anything to get rid of French crap FWD, they do self destruct, piece by piece, some even decompose themselfs and owner don't need to a thing, actually it is required owner does not do a thing as any maintenance work to french crap will just upset that balance of chaos and that will lead to some very weird results, for example when you put on full beam your ABS goes kaputt, or intermittent wiper setting works only in monsoon conditions etc. So it is best not to do a thing and let it fade away, it won't take long

Youtube has indeed some pretty weird stuff, if you really would like to find odd stuff, try Chinese youtube kind of site, it is hundreds times bigger site than Youtube, but not many knows about it as it is in Chinese, not very hard to use really, however you might like to change to OpenDNS as our western ISP seem to restrict download speeds from there, with open DNS I have got lot faster speeds from there.

Chinese Youtube like site, just write into box that is up there and press enter.
http://www.56.com/ This is kind of same, but mostly singing / beginning artists musicvideos, has some more like pro singing stuff too http://mm.56.com/
If your chinese is tad of rusty, translate.google.com will help, that chinese video site is huge, it is just getting search words right and there is lot of good stuff.
http://www.56.com/u89/v_MzA2ODMyMTQ.html Volvo video from that site.

Open DNS then, hmm from my memory it was 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 that you need to put into your dns, but google if that does not work, it is lot faster overall for me anyway, so maybe worth of test for you too.

This one is funny video from youtube, well you need to watch it until to end and maybe some kind weird sense of humor is needed, but I do crack up everytime at the end, it is just girl singing, but something at the end hits the spot.
