Looking for engine swap ideas ??

Just looking to no what peoples ideas are on engine swaps and which one would be best to go for ? at the moment the car is a 1988 1.4 340 4 door and id like a lot more power ha but im not sure if id want to go to a big litre like 2.5 or so for price of petrol is horrible.

also a list of the parts needed for the conversion would be great to. thanks.

renault engines.
1.8 or 2.0 16v f series engines from clio etc.
or volvo f series turbos from 400 series.

Forum search is your friend mate. (top right) its all been covered 145 billion times before and everything you need to know is already on here somewhere.

1.7 340 parts also required will include, water pipes, sump, bell housing, clutch centre plate (may as well change the lot) rear wiper, spliced ecu, pimp manifold if youre planning on keeping the heaterbox, etc etc.



ok, you dont need the rear wiper.
But it did amuse me to type it.
