Not so sure about the graphics, but those leather seats are superb.

BTW I always left the car in N when parked up. Very often when left in P, the connection for the declutch servo would come off ...

Sad circumstances indeed. I`d keep the car if I had room, but I don`t even have a drive I can stick it on. And I`d probably hardly ever use it as I hardly drive at all these days - maybe 1000 miles p.a tops.

Not bothered about the cash, if it goes to an enthusiast - we`ve had 7 years of ...

I`d just like to see it go somewhere it `ll be looked after.

I`d probably ask a bit more for it if was on the open market......

Cheers for the heads up on testing - I usually put a card on the dash asking politely that the car is not started or revved in P and have not had any problems with this. ( There is an original windscreen sticker in the car giving this advice but it`s not that obvious )

Yes you probably do have the right part and they can be an arse to get on.

I have found the best way is to get it over the alternator and crank pulleys first and lever it some of the way onto the water pump- enough that it is fairly tight.

We used to have an Opel Kadett hatchback - one of the pre GM ones from 1974 IIRC - my wife moved to England in it from Germany many moons back. It was BRIGHT green with orange wings on both sides where she had an argument with some ice.

Great little car and had some fantastic times with it.

Last time I needed to use a scrappy, I got what I needed from one in Old Stratford who had a few. This was however a couple of years back and last time I popped in for a look, I found it had closed down.
