I would expect the 172 engine may be too much for the 340 driveline, you have to be careful when driving any 300 hard, even the 1.4 can break the propshaft if you abuse it. The Renault 5 turbo has a different port size/spacing than the B14 in the 340, so Renault manifolds will not be a straight fit. I know this because I once tried to fit a Renault 5 turbo exhaust/intake gasket to a 340.

I have an alternator for a 1.4, less than 6 months use since I bought it, still looks shiny.

It's a Valeo unit, came in a QX components box/sticker was advertised as new rather than a recon.

Purchased from ebay 26/06/10, car came off the road approx 3/11/10.

I'd like £30 + postage for it.
