This was my partners 360, 1989 leather interior, PS, extra gauges, elect door mirrors etc, in silver/gold.

It gave great service to friends, and family aswell until it eventually ended up in a police recovery yard following TWOC. Actually it was a private contractor, and the police did not have permission nor any need to put it there. The car was found in leafy suburb in a car park. I had to pay £100 to get it out for parts or what ever.

After putting 2 replacement front wheels on I drove it home, the steering wheel was slightly askew shall we say.

Annoyingly the reg was FXI 360, the car sat while the MOT ran out and I could no longer transfer the reg. I had to work hard to avoid paying a fine for no tax. Got some good parts of it though.

Never buy a car with creases like this the chassis, its a right off. My first GLT had this but someone had fillered it over.

I concur - Rogered - sorry to hear of your bad luck. Strip it, clean the parts up as best you can, take good pictures on clean backgrounds and get on the bay and you'll probably make what the car was worth at least.

In Finland, man did shoot to air to scare car thieves which were trying to steal his car or parts on his property.

Men did loose all his guns and licenses, also probably will face jail, car thieves got compensation and they did walked away.

Here using a gun is not permitted in any case, even if someone is shooting at you, gun can't be used to defend yourself.

I don't know what kind of laws are in other countries, but certainly I hope that car thieves would be shot as is case with other thieves, those lowlifes are not human being in my eyes.

Lack of intelligence from joyriders is amazing, driving trough checkpoint high speed, surely those armed men are just going to watch and let all that happen

He did indeed good job of stopping them to joyride again, if he would been in Finland, then he would be in jail for sure. Our care and understand -society is like that, not very much common sense is used here.

All sheetmetal of that victim 300 seem to be very good condition as are lenses etc., those are very much worth of saving as many parts have gone no longer available.

This all happened over a year ago, I cut the car to bits and kept the bits I wanted for my 360 saloon restoration (now Turbo project), but scrapped the rest. Didn't see much demand for parts at the time, and it only owed me £100.

I had just put in a new front cross member (new) and gearbox (spare) into it after the current (family) owners had driven over a rock in the dark out in the sticks. I took out the PS and crossmember, not sure how straight it is, but I'm not going to bother with the PS, any demand?

The joyriders go for the low tech cars these days because they can't take the newer stuff, should have had an immobiliser, but you live and learn.
