Hello I'm New :)

Post by robinxr4i »

Hi I'm Robin,

I have been given a Volvo 360 GTL (with no tax or MOT and a massive crack in the windscreen) once these points have been sorted I intend to use as my daily wip :D I can't leave anything standard so I've signed up in search of modifying info!

I plan to slam the beast on some wide 13" wellers, welded the diff and increase the power 940/740 turbo engine swap? Any info or help will be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks :D

Welcome to the forum Robin.
2.3 turbo is my eventual goal, somewhere down the line.
Think the accepted management method is megasquirt.

Wellers are a bit of a pain in the arse to find in 4x100 (unless youve already got some stashed).
Ten a penny in Ford 108, but its a bit of a hunt for Volvo 300 fitment.

If youre going 13s, id say at least a 2in drop.
Springs and blocks are always available (see for sale section)

Oh, and get some pics up mate!

Hello Robin, i see you've ventured over here from RR, what actualy happened to the Sierra, got any pics? :D

Hope the car is as good as it sounds, there are some very knowledgeable and helpful lads round here so i'm sure you'll get all your answers soon enough although looks like VND has done a pretty good job there.

Oh and like RR we like pics 340pw

Thanks guys, thought there would be some RR users to welcome me  It's a bit tatty but seems solid and a good basis for a project :D

Looks tidy enough in that pic.

Whats your plans for it other than wheels, keep paint stock or something interesting?

The body work is tatty and the wheel arches are a bit grotty, the sills have been welded before (several times) and 3 of the doors are nearly all fibre glass at the bottom  But it's solid in all the right places so I'm happy :D

The doors need replacing as imo there not worth repairing and TBH I want to paint it. Probably in a similar theme to my old Sierra  but not nato green thou, thinking matt dark grey or sand.

Which doors do you need? I have both passenger side ones in as good as condition you'll probably find now! (admittedly in silver but still if you're repainting anyway...)

I need both passenger side one and a rear drivers side one. How much do you want for the passenger ones?

I've booked the beast in for an MOT tomorrow to find out how much work it needs! *FINGERS CROSSED
