Anyone had to fix the lumbar support system on their seats? Something went ping on mine today (not in a good way) and any tips would be appreciated before I start pulling the seat to pieces.

Lumbar Support
Ermm, yes.....on the 262......can't remember how............
If I recall there are many horizontal thin wires running across the backrest that form a mesh that is then tensioned by the knob on the side of the seat.
If it went 'twang' then at a guess one or more of the wires has snapped.....

Yeh i repaired mine not so long ago. On mine the thread on the knob broke causing a loss of tension over the lumbar support. Will the knob just pull off yours? If so then its an easy repair. If not then it is a bit more in depth. Either the later ones or the early ones (cant remember which way round now
) However there are two differnt ways the straps attach to the frame of the seat. One simply hooks around the edge, whereas the other if i remember hooks into a hole on the side.
If it is the knob that is broken, then all you have to do, is use pliers to open upo all the metal clips on the bottom edge of the saet. Then reach up and unscrew the remainder of the thread on the knob, then simply clip the strap back on and replace the knob with another one from a scrap yard.
I hope this helps mate!!
Cheers Adam

It depends what kind of seats you have.jtbo wrote:There should be a lumbar support in these seats?
I have no knob, I don't have even a lever to fold seat in side of seat, only crappy one at near bottom of seat. Maybe some basic model. However I have heated seats, but they don't work
