Window Tints
Window Tints
Well I'm going to have a go at tinting all the windows on my 360, Should be interesting to see how a five door looks with tints, I'll postbefore and after, hopefully today after I change to drive belts as my alternator keeps squeeling!!
Erm, I've lost my keys again...

Nooooo! Don't do it! Well, do, but make sure you do it well! I think it'd look good on a red car, but just make sure it's high quaility stuff! From what I've seen it doesn't matter how well you apply it, the DIY stuff just looks pants when it peels, and air pockets and bubbles form! A mate and myself burst out laughing at the attempt someone had made on their car, it really was that bad, capped off by the raw chipboard, ill fitting, sagging in the middle under it's own weight parcel shelf. Professionally or well done the tints can look good and last. Good luck, looking out for the pics.

I attempted it on my 340, I say "attempted" it did work and I kept them on but I wasn't happy with the finished results, its possible to get the side windows done ok but the rear screen was an absolute nightmare! Mine was done in 3 overlapped strips do to the curvature. Best bet is to remove any windows you can and do them off the car, be a very easy job then just make sure the glass is really wet, then you'd work your way outwards and then just run a knife round the edge of the glass once your done to trim it to shape. Recent thoughts have been that perspex may be a better bet, not much more expensive than that bloody tinting film, get whatever colour/shade you want and save some weight
