Yep you guessed it connections on the fuse box as usual.
The problem had been there for a while diped light ocasionaly just going off a wiggle at the fuse box and on they come again - mega pain.
I atempted to clean the connection - I even packed it with foil to improve the conection but the fault just kept coming back. The problem is the pin had burnt over time and just gets worse. I suspect this is quite common as my scrap car had the same pin burnt. After pulling the fuse box on the scrap car apart it is clear the wire is a 12 volt feed (brown connector centre pin on the left). I've now run a hefty feed wire direct and isolated the wire coming from the fuse box. If you do this make sure the wire you fit will not bub and is run through a suitable grommet through the bulkhead.
Is this dipped going to sidelights? If so it's what Fake has, I think on Fake its cos of a leak on the windscreen, need to get the silicon up there, but I'll check that as well!!
Current solution is to kick the underside of the dash to get it to come on, yours sounds more permanent!
Yep dipped going off yet main beam will work if you hold the stalk. The bodge has help up perfectly so far. I dont think is corrosion but more so overheating.
Yeah, exactly what I have, a dodgy connection in the dipped feed, I really should attack mine with some contact cleaner (hmmm, Andy pettaw, have you got that can???)
