The bottom gear section looks like it may mount differently but the motors themselves look the same...

If I rember correctly my brother used to combine the two to repair 360 motors

Yeah, worst case is you just take hte motor from the gearbox mate, and swap. 2 x torx from memory.

See i tried that as that is what i did with a 480 motor when i had my blueline, however when i came to use a 440 motor on my 3 door but the shaft and worm gear is bigger on my 3 door motor.

When I refurbed the motors on mine, I stripped the armatures out the casing, might be an option if you get really stuck?
Theres a knack to getting the armature back in, I found wrapping it in a J cloth made the job really easy!
