About the radiator cap. I received some accesoires brochures from '85 and '86. There a silver glt in it with a radiator cap in the same color as the car! I think that looks really good! I'll try to post some pic.

Just to add to my collection of random rare stuff.... I found the original one of these:

Shame the last cable was cut (not me) but it looks colour coded, so I can resolder that. Not that it'll fit with that plug in mine, or that I actually have any un amped speakers. But is an interesting one. Came out of a C reg 360 GLE, running stock Volvo rears and fronts. 4x20 it reckons, but havn't powered it up.

Goes into the back of the older style 'twiddly knob volume and tuning' radios. Not a bad car, had re-circ too, but the cylinder had gone.

Isle of Wight scrappies seem to keep cars forever, 4 scrappies, one 300, and ever car around is gutted, completely. And this was around 300 yards back in a packed scrappy ;)

Very cool. How the hell did you find it...and whereabouts in the car did it live?

I think that might plug into a head unit from a 7/900 too - the plug certainly looks similar.

cheers

I need to start scouring scrapyards, but I'm not sure where the nearest one is that you can look around... :(

:) I got bored this morning, and thought that as nearly everyone over here drives 300's (I've seen 4 different redlines this week, I was keeping quiet not to upset Mick ;)) I'd do a scrappy hunt. Out of the 4 visited, only one had a single 300 :(.

The amp is mounted under the front passenger seat Fogs, I didn't get teh brackets as they are just a bit of L section and had got rusty. The back of the amp has a tad of rust on it, so not holding out too much hope, but we'll see. Definately worth bringing home though!

MJ, just make sure you don't empty all the goodies out of my ones ;)
