i found the multiplug pins were a bit mangled and once sorted the dial went back to sitting at -40............

i think the sensor has died, is there an easier way to get to it that removing the bumper? i don't have a socket set which goes big enough to remove the bumper bolts....

You can just reach the sensor through the left hand bolt cover in the bumper!

Provided you have very small hands yes. Otherwise...no...it's only a 13mm - you need those tools :)

When you get it out, test the resistance using a multimeter. If it's dead, ones from a 400 series car with the info-centre are the same, and much more common.

cheers

Is there any difference between 340 and 360 gauge panels, except for the clock/ rev counter? Can the econometer be transferred from a 340 to a 360 without any problems, or does is have to be re-calibrated?

Thanks a lot,

thijd

When it comes to 340's and 360's you to remember that fundamentally they are the same car so when it comes to the electrics it is usually the same!! (Sorry rant over!!)
And no they dont have to be re calibrated!!!

Thanks, that's clear:)

Was just wondering, because of the different engines.
