Front fog lights

Post by benji1985 »

How hard is it to get hold of the front for lights and where does the switch go?

They're not all that common but you should be able to find a used pair - they're standard on GLT's. The switch goes next to the rear wiper switch in the centre console.

Found a switch for you

Finding a pair of fog lights won't be so easy though.

That switch is rear fogs, not that it matters other than the picture!

The switch goes around the gearstick somewhere, mk2/3 on the panel facing the hand brake.

I have the panel, but i intend to make a fiberglass mold for it (and a mk3) so these parts can be more easily available

as for lights, they were on FB

No, at all
I only had see the car in junkyear with square fog lights.

But, someone told me that it's not necessary the frontal spoiler to fit the foglight, because all 83' MY 340 had site for foglight only need open it (the body) under the frontal bumper sm62

you are correct, the front valence can have hole in for the fog lights these can be cut in to the front valence, over xmas i am going to try and make a fiber glass mould of the new mk2 front valence i have which from there i am going to try and make a mk3 version

it maybe possible for you to modify the fiberglass front valence (when i get around to making them) to accept different front fog lights?

It'd be really great to have fibreglass Mk2 and Mk3 valances! Big problem for a lot of cars.
