Alarm - How does it works?

My car has an alarm wich I think is Volvo original one.

I have taken it out becaude I don't know how to get it working... but I would like to know...

Here are some pics of it.. If anybody could help me

What was it plugged into mate? It looks like a simple cut of switch!! Prob activated when you tried to start the car?
My alarm i fitted is tied into most electriacal parts of the car and is set of for a multiple of reasons!! Also the Blue LED is enough to look like a cop car at night!!!!!

I think a simple solution would be a kill switch hidden in the car somewhere

Well.. IT was plugged to a 3 or 4 wires, but I don't know where they go...

Probably to the door/locking mechanism?

I notices the alarm in the 1980 brochure. After that is hasn't been in any brochure. But it's certainly a nice and rare accesoire if it would be original Volvo.
