hi all just wondering if either A reg 340 suspension strut will fit my 1990 340 h reg or either a mk3 360 strut would fit?

, ive got the choice of a A reg 1.7 340 struts or mk3 360 struts but im not sure if either would fit if anyone can help?

MK3 360 strut definitely WON't fit. I know that much, cos the ARB mounting is different. The A-reg 340 strut would most probably fit, but I can't remember whether they made any mods between early Mk2s and Mk3s, so I can't give you a guarantee.

hi 340glt, which bits would i need to make the 360 struts fit (if you meant the 360 struts), i heard that the 360 brakes are different too, if you could help me out then that would be fantastic as i have been struggling to get 1.7 struts, i did get a pair but sod's law, i got them fitted then dropped the car off the jack and the bottom strut cup collapsed

, had a little idea but i suspect its a hard thing to do but i was wondering if its possible to cut off the bottom strut cup from my original strut and weld it onto the collapsed strut? (my original strut was bent in a accident

)

Ahh that's a good point, don't use the mounting for the ARB and it'll be fine. The brakes are the same between 340 and 360. Oh, and change the spring over too, cos it'll be different.
