Hi all, first post. I have recently bought a 340 and I assumed it had no central locking, but when I fixed the broken door handle (rod come off) it looks like it has a central locking motor.
Which fuse is it, or failing that could it be the actuator (according to the manual it only works when locking the driver's door, so if that has gone down the whole system is broken).
Cheers
Pete

Hi there,
The other possibility is that your car does indeed not have C/L but that has been fitted with a remote control alarm (in the late 80s a system made by "Scorpion" was available as an approved accessory).
If this was fitted to to a non C/L car it was common to install a lock motor in the drivers door so that the remote control would control the alarm and lock/unlock the drivers door only. (often the other doors were left as manual lock.)
Have a look at the passenger lock assy. and see if it has a motor. If it has you have n/w c/l - if it hasn't you probably have an alarm.
Mac.
