I think you'll both find that the national health service provided that style of spectacle frame from 79 to 81 only. The plastics suply firm responsible for manufacture was destroyed by arson at the end of 81. And the business was then wound down.
If the spectacles are new, then this could be a usefull indicator.
However, if they are old, then this is really no help at all.
Looking at the direction of the wipers on the front of the 340 shows its a RHD, early RHD cars still had wipers going in the same direction as if they were a LHD anyone know what year they changed that? Also the reg ends in 2 letters so makes it at least an A reg so 83 on.

The "RHD" screen wiper pattern shows the car to be later than chassis no.800833. (very late in '83' year model production)
In the UK it is generally accepted that the '84' model year starts with ch.810500.
However the "quaterlight" door mirrors came with the '84' year model so the subject car has to be an '84' or '85' year model (October 1983 - September '85'.

Rememeber, that is not car dealership showroom, so cars are perhaps bit different in age. Of course time window is limited as you can see Cherry in there, I believe those things did rot away rather quickly there too?
Here Cherry is lot more rare than 300 and 300 on road is pretty damn rare these days.
