Mine is cracked and needs replacing for the MOT, just wondered how to install a new one? Any advice?
I guess it's a case of smashing the old one out keeping the rubber. Put rubber on to new windscreen and then push it in (carefully!)
Many thanks Robin
If anyones got a windscreen I need it!

Re: Anyone replaced a windscreen?
i did this with the strip and rebuild of my project car.
i think i have a replaced windscreen since it has a full rubber, so no metal insert that you can place after the windscreen got out wich made it even harder for me to get it out and put it in.
i've done this job alone, my advice after this experience is not do do this alone..
first you get the metal strip out of the rubber carefully, then you carefully push the window out from the inside of the car on one side (left or right) after it pops out of the rubber you can easaly take the glass off the car.
mounting the windscreen without special tools is a bit difficult, they normally use a piece of string and two pieces of wood to place it.. i put the rubber back on the screen, layed it on the car and then carefully pulled the rubber in with a wide set of pliers from the inside. was a pain in the ass job but after half an hour the glass was in..
you do need to remove the dash, heater control, a style covers, and headlining cover in order to do this but that will only add max 1 hour work
