I wondor if somebody can point me in the direction of a free programme that will let me change the colour of my car in a photograph. I would like to see what my car may look like in different colours to get an idea what colour I would like to paint it?
If you can help, please post below or PM me?
Thanks,
Ian.

Not saying he will be able to help but you never know.

Thank you Mark. I am thingking Beladona purple which was used on te last escorts or the metalic jade that the Metro's and corsa's had from about 1996. I think that this may look nice on a 3-door 360, as I can't find out the colour or paint code of the light matalic blue that Volvo used on them in the mid 80's. My car though metalic blue, is the wrong shade for what I want.
Ian.

There's various ways of doing it in Photoshop, either duplicating the layer and playing with hue adjustments or using the colour replacement tool. I'm pretty proficient in Photoshop so if you want to send me a pic of your GLT and the car colour in question I'll see what I can do. Colour reproduction is always difficult though, especially to get an accurate match - but seeing as your car isn't white it should be possible.

Photoshop is the graphics editing software, but there are a few "free" tools around. Try "Gimp" for size, started out as an open source Linux tool, but there's a windows version of it too AFAIK ...

In Paint.NET, the more advanced Windows Paint, you can easily change colors.
It does not look perfect, but it keeps shades and stuff so its good enough.
