B19F for the Japanese market - any ideas?

Something for "Volvo 300 historians" ...

In one of the German Volvo forums there's a topic on "exotic" 300's: 363 CS, Oettinger, prototypes, R-Sports etc. A chap who used to work for Volvo claims that a 95 horsepower, 3-way-cat-equipped B19F engine was fitted to Japanese market 360s.

Has anyone else got any info about this? I remember seeing a Japanese car brochure on Ebay once, with a MkII GLT on the cover, so they were sold there, but I've never heard about a B19F engine before ...

I should ask my brother in Japan if he can look for V300's driving around. Although he probably wouldn't recognize one.

EDIT: the 340 B14 GT modded for the Swiss market with R-Sport parts might be more interesting for some than cat-equipped B19s for Japan ;-)
