removal of rear bumper

oul someone enlighten me as to how the rear bumper comes off, as i have to remove a nasty tow bar bracket and this is in the way. i di consult the haynes manual and even that failed to shed light it

4 bolts, 2 each side run left to right. They'll be rusted up so 2ft breaker bar is the way forward. Look for 2 sections of heavy steel about 8" long.

Yes. And the direction of the bolts is across the car, rather than front to back. I actually snapped the bolts they were rested so much last time i removed a bumper!

i gather its held on with bolts, question is where are these bolts??
are they behind a trim?
inside the car?
i just cant seem to find them.

the trick is to start with a wire brush and get the threads on the outside clean

drop exhaust from the 3 rear mounting rubbers, high socket 13 with rattlewrench on the insides, ring 13 wrench on the outsides (slide wrench in from the wheel side) easy as hell
