bad starting - just replaced starter motor - problem silved.
Cant get rid of petrol smell in car. So far have replaced the perishe cloth covered fuel hose into the fuel pump and the 10mm int diameter fuel hose from the petrol tank. Still a bloody smell wife starting to give me grief. so at random started to remove trim and cover plate in boot .
What sort of a retarded designer would put an expansion tank and the variuos hose inside the boot in a hatchback????
But it has turned out to be one of the hoses from the petrol float unit to the pump (standing at he boot its the one on the left hand side , cloth cladding very damp. ) Now to go out and replace the hose connector but it is very restricted in space so here goes to fix it.
PS have a defective keyboard so I am not dyslexic or write scripts for Allo Allo!
300's are all old enough that the fuel lines are knackered, well worth checking or just buying a few meters of FI and getting involved with it.
