I bought a nearly mint low milage 85 360GLS about 10 years ago for £400 for my partner, registration was FXI 360.
She transferred the reg onto an 89 GLE and then bought a BMW, I sold the car to a family member with the intention of transferring the reg to my 360 once I finished the overhaul, but bl00dy joy riders got it, smashed front wheels,. wrinkled chassis around the radius arm mounts, problems getting back from police (who got it taken away for no good reason) then MOT was up and I couldn't transfer it... lost it bl00dy, bl00dy, bosterds!.
