well, today we had a v3c technical day but yesterday i meeted up with the b14.4e powerd 343 '82 blue special in Heerde (one of my old engines) to get it running good again, all a succes and it runs great again after replacing a few gaskets. the owner of the 343 has a sister wich drives a 340 diesel with a diagnose waiting for the technical day so this morning the ironic couple of holland's quickest 340 and slowest 340 went to Ermelo to meet up with the other v3c members.
2 vids finally:
a 340 DIESEL overtaking a 340 turbo

offcourse, he didn't shoot me overtaking him at double his speed

too bad he didn't tape it actually..
yes, it has a paddle clutch

(you can hear the bov too when changing gear if you listen carefully):

loads of fun, and a lot of succesfully accomplished jobs including a cvt clutch change (unique for these technical days due to time) lots of cvt belt/clutch adjusting, various diagnosis and a few steering/suspension checkups etc..
the 340 turbo did very very well on its first longer trip i must say, it can consider itself to one of the quicker things on the road i believe. more power does make a smoother ride, on quiet road i got to 180kmh on gps with 150 on the speedo (needle is set wrong after i resetted the speedo, is on the to do list) wich is nowhere near it's max speed, and even with 200kg of ballast in the trunk i still managed drifting on dry tarmac, too bad the extra lowering due to the ballast and a sharp/quick right turn made the exhaust tip touch the tarmac, it's useless now, needs complete replacement instead of the rewelding of the tip wich i initially planned.
pics have been made too but mijnalbum.nl has some server trouble, will try to get the high resolutionpics on my email so i can post them here
@ youtube vids, what tag needs to be used to display them in a post?
