So'ton contingent

Post by magnumpi »

I've been working down there again today and saw something interesting on my route into town, well not strictly So'ton but Bittern.

All i know is what i saw and it may not be of interest as it's not a 300, but still a cool old Volvo. Basically in the Chevrolet garage on St Denys Road there is a T reg (79) 244 Estate in red. The general appearance of it is pretty good at 1st glance, i.e it didn't look like it was rusting away. However it looked like it had been attacked by someone throwing brake fluid/paint stripper over the roof and down accross the bonnet.

I've no idea what it's doing there, but it was parked in the front row of new cars so it wasn't like they were trying to keep it out of sight :?

So there you go, you now know what i do and can do with this info as you please, it did look pretty menacing and i can't remember seeing many of the early fronted estates about anymore.

Oh and on arriving at work i saw a battered to hell 244 saloon being driven by an old giffer 8) .

That T plate was living down Bevious Valley a few months ago and looked sweet. Me and housemate went down to the car place in BV 3/4 months ago when he rolled the MG looking for something new and it looked like it had just been done then.

I've driven past the Chevy garage 3 times today and not noticed though

Want to meet up for a beer some point this week if you are about? Fake's off the road again atm though :(

Ah i don't know then, maybe it was just visiting, i'm sure you would have noticed it even if you weren't paying attention it's so near the road.

Re the beer, i travel back and forth each day so unless your about for a swift one at lunch it's not much good lol.

However a Southern meet does NEED to happen sm4
