Compare trabitom99's pics of the km/h versions of the VDO and Smiths with economy and ambient gauges:
Smiths: (rev counter to 8000 rpm
square warning lamps)
VDO (round warning lamps, red marks on the rev counter, different font):
Not sure what the fuel tank sender and temp senders are like for the Smiths set. I've got a temp sender that matches the Smiths clocks, but not a fuel sender (if it's different, don't know if it is or not).

)Some folks fit the Smiths panel in a later car as they prefer the 8K rev counter.
