That's AvdA. My Nokia E61 is so slow and old.
That's the one I'm on about. I bought 3 kits from RJ and have them in Glasgow for my cars/ UK stock.

No (well shouldn't be) problem. I'll get back to you later in th day. Still at work just now, and need to locate them.

adjusted the belts at the weekend, the gap on one side was 1mm and the other had no gap! so now the revs have dropped just below 3000rpm @30mph, so going in the right direction.
found the web site that sells the EMVK kits (Born Built Beauties and EMVK).
but cant work out how to us it, so still want to buy from you please.

I'm still on the warpath to getting hold of my man in Glasgow. If I do get them in the next couple of days, I'll get some more sent over from BBB, as that is where mine originally came from.

jup, then the fault is in the electrics; do this:
unscrew the EMV and de-solder the diode at one end, now do a resistance check on the coil (should be around 35Ω) and check the diode for blocking in one way. if both of those are fine the tachometric relay has a blown the end-transistor; if it's broken then it probably has blown the end transistor anyway
and the end transistor is the one described here:

ok fitted a new cvt kit, did a test on the diod ok, tested the ohms on coils ok, tested the end of line transister ok, revs are now running at 2500rpm@30mph so a lot better now, but maybe still seems high, what do you think. (shall start checking vaccums this week end)

is everybody on here using that page for CVT diagnostics etc? if so, i might be able to do a english translation for a sticky on here? it's a lot better than plowing through 30pages of greenbook though as all usefull info is in it.macplaxton wrote:This page is a useful guide.

An english translation of that would be fantastic, Google Translator can be a bit of a pain: "Mountain Brake
". I notice there's something about the kickdown switch on that - eager to know more about that as it's stopped working on mine ... Not that it made much of a difference to acceleration when it did
