Not sure how long that will last, in order to do it properly you have to lock the crank and torque the bolt to 122ft.lbs. You can lock the crank by removing the flywheel sensor and dropping in a 6mm 1/4" socket.

It holds in the timing sprocket on the crank so quite important.

well buddy i locked the crank with a top pin from a iveco daily side loading door, fits perfect, the i swung on the crank pully wit a 18" half inch rachet (im 6ft3 an weight in a 22 stone) i think its pretty tight, i can do angle torque on truck heads with the rachet so i am quietly confident, i also was doing a spot of snow difting, which is the high revs for long periods of time with no probs, temp gauge never went above half way i now officialy love my :360: :360:

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!! 8)

But all is not well. She is now Matt black, welded diff and banded steels :(

A friend saw it go through ebay and mentioned he liked it. I almost fainted when I saw the reg!

Wasnt retested after my MOT on it expired. £325 and the winning bidder is yet to collect. I think i'll be kicked out if I mentioned buying it back to the missus. Dammit I miss that car though!! I'd want to return it to as near as original again though

Poor thing: I mean yeah, its kinda cool, but considering the condition i sold it in and the rare GLT saloon 360 injectioness, I am a bit gutted...

Kinda cool?
Looks like a shed to me.
It was a tidy car that. Well tidy.

If someone wanted a drift slag yo, why not start with a shed?

Well, can't save them all. It seems strange that people have a weird attraction to matt black. How to make your car look crappy and unsellable in 1 hour. There's better and rarer 300s that have been destroyed though.

This is all true. There is always a better one thats been destroyed. I mean this is savable. But I am biased towards it as it was mine and I've since not seen a GLT saloon injection with low miles for low money so in my eyes it's limited availability to just go get another one.

TBH my gf has a E30 BMW 325. We considered matt blacking that, but because it's had a new chassis leg wleded on after a drift day with a tree, it's black and white from various panels, failed an MOT on rust in the boot area and there are many 4dr examples in better condition with lower miles available. It's a dog tbh. a 180k mile dog. But would look better a single colour. Cheaper is matt as less prep due to no depth in the paint so I agree with all these matt colours. But on what seem to be tidier examples. Yes the rear arch lips on the 360 saloon were shot, but repairable, but not enough to warrant a colour change.

Would have bought it to break it? Is there a demand enough for saloons to be broken?

I still want it lol. Back to as near as original red as possible lol. The want is always more interesting than the have though isnt it??

Well for 325 quid you can't not make a profit, so if I picked it up and it was beyond repairing/too much effort, I would of had the wheels off as there quite expensive, lowering bits, GLT interior into my Williams and if any of the body parts were good like doors, bonnet ect I would of kept for my other saloons, then scrapped it. That worse case tho I would always rather keep it on the road.
