Fisrt of all sorry to post here a demand topic for a Volvo 400 piece, but actually this is the only non Portuguese forum that I participe and the one with best "member help".
A friend have a '90 440 Turbo with 300.000kms in MINT condition, and he really want to find a body kit to it.
Here in Portugal we can't find any, neither in internacional ebay.
If someone arround there in England see one in a scrapyeard PLEASE ask the price and say something to me. I don't have any kind of problem with the postage costs as this is a piece that he really can not find here in Portugal.

reminds me... Ive got a 440 to work on with a crazy fuel gauge... its either off or when it moves it moves up and down randomly... Im thinking its the sender unit.
any ideas...
just to complicate things...
initially, both fuel and temp gauges died. Volvo diagnosed that the printer circuit board was burnt out. I guess they mean the blue plastic PCB.
I got a replacement unit from a L reg diesel and replaced rev, speedo and fuel gauge from the K reg ( pre facelift car ) 440 into the white rear section ( blue PCB on back ).
so gauges and front section ( warning light panel ) from K reg with the rear of the L reg.
L reg onwards ( facelift ) have a door open light where the hazard warning light is, and also a few other lamps are in different positions... havent got it in front of me.....
it worked a treat.... until it decided to go mad.
so only three things... gauge, wiring and sender...... i thinking sender now
ive heard of other 440s that do this.... any advise please?
Ive also been offered a 440 auto P reg... those are ZF units. Any know probs? do high mileage?
