handbrake

hi, need some help again; im tying to tighten up the handbrake for my 1986 340 gl (following the 'instructions' in haynes) but things dont seem to match. and even after taking all teh plastic off from around the handbrake, i cant seem to get access to any nuts and bolts. -am i looking in the right place?

the hand brake adjustment should be under the car on your model 340.

well, that explains things, then. was just about the rip the car apart.
how do you fix it? is it the same nut arrangement?

if you get under the car, just below where the hand brake is, there should be a sort of a t-piece with the cables attached to it, theres a 13mm nut on the end of it. tighted or loosen that deprending what your trying to do.
