I think you also need to install turbo higher, maybe put exhaust manifold upsidedown if possible?

Oilpan is perhaps word Arnagath was looking.

Flywheel, oilsump and oilpump are needed from B200E as said above.

Turbo will hit the engine support if it isn't modified. Or if you don't want to modify the engine support, you can make a custom exhaust manifold or you can put an adapter between the turbo and the stock exhaust manifold so the turbo will sit higher above.

There are some pics of different ways doing it.

Modified engine mounts:

Custom tubular manifold:

Stock manifold with adapter tube between turbo and the manifold: http://koti.mbnet.fi/mtn/images/autot/G ... /ahdin.jpg

So there are several ways to do it. I have that adapter thing between the stock manifold and the turbo but if I would build a turbo 300-series now I would choose the tubular manifold as it flows much better than the stock one.

A guy here in the UK claimed that a Garrett T3 and old-style manifold fitted fine, but everyone else seems to say that it doesn't. How about the later '90+' manifold and Mitsubishi TD04-13c turbo?

cheers

Hi Folks, my apologies for resurrecting this thread, but I have a similar question, I've just picked up a 360 w/b200k as a daily driver, and was wondering about a b230e to give it more, well, power.

I know that to do a b230ft swap you need a b200e flywheel, oil pump & pan, is the b200k's flywheel, pump and pan also compatible with the b230e?

I'm not fussed about any wiring changes, I can wire a car from a bare shell, so it's just the mounting issues I'm wondering about.

You'll also need the water pump and pulley from the 360 - it's shorter. Once the mounts are swapped, it should be a bolt-in from there, although a B230E runs K-Jet mechanical injection, so you might want to look at using LH2.4 from a 940 to feed it go-juice.

If the engine you're using has a flywheel ignition trigger, you only want to use the 360 flywheel if you're using Renix ignition. That might well be ok for the B230E, but it wouldn't be ok for the turbo, where you need retard-on-boost. IIRC all B230Es were distributor-pickup triggered, so it wouldn't matter. However, if you did want to use it with LH2.4, the standard 360 flywheel would give you the wrong pattern.

cheers

    :D

Glad someone is doing it!! Could you not have used the saloon roof skin which has a gradual incline to the raised rear section?
