I know of a couple of 360s being broken....all things are possible :)

Only AC cars got those fans, so they're super rare here. Not sure I can help on that one.

cheers

I have a kit on the way (in theory). We got PAS, you got AC. :D
Shipping cost is not really an issue for me.

cheers

w00t!!! That makes for a happy Chris! If you can find them, I'd love 2 buttons, and 2 ?evapourators? the bit that goes in the heater box, or nearby!

I'll happily sort you out some PAS stuff, as I'm sure will Foggy. Whilst the wiring would be cool, to keep the postage costs down, if you could just grab the plugs from the back of the switches with about 6" of wire, that should do it!

Cheers dude!

Yup, just checked the other thread, it is the evapourator! Basically, I have 2 cars I'd like to drop it into, but if you can only find one, I'll be chuffed at that, I know of 2 cars in this country with it currently!

i can go to any car wrecker in my immediate area and Buy at least 4 kits from each so thats not a problem.. I do know where the evaporator goes lol but is that all you need?
No condenser? compressor? hoses?
I assume youd want the manifold solenoid valve that increases the idle when the A/C is running right?

Oh btw u do realise that if you have PAS youll have to pull the Bracket out of a later 240 or earlier 740 and extent the oil discharge line to the pump? :?

Hiya, I could do with a spare evaporator, condensor, hoses and expansion valve if you've got them. I don't need the compressor or filter/drier. Shipping costs are not a problem for me :)

Would make life easier if I had the condenser, and I hadn't thought about the manifold valve... is that also the jobbie that sorts the full throttle A/C cut off? Do you get a dryer as standard on a 360? Shall I go for hoses... well... might as well I guess! So everything apart from the compressor then!

Andy... is it better to get these hoses, or to get new ones fabbed, as I expect I'll need to whereever the compressor is concerned anyway? Did you managed to get new hoses easy enough?

I won't need the compressor as I'm not putting it on a B200. Biewz, I'm super greatful if you can get these bits, and would like 2 of each part mentioned if you can get them! Me and Andy(pettaw) live quite close, so might even be able to get away with putting it all in one box, save some postage that way.

The hoses are easy to get made up and recommended as they'll be leaky and perished, but its nice to get a set of originals so you can say 'I want a set of these please, with R134a connections'

No the full throttle cut out comes from the TPS signal to the fuel injection via a diode and relay which cuts off the circuit when the relay is energized, so really you should get all the wiring as well, if Biewz is up for dismantling that.

You can cut the blue wire where it comes through the firewall cos that's the 12V into the circuit, but you'll need the wire right from where it hits the thermostatic cut off in the heater box through to the compressor and the auxiliary fan.

Hi again,
Might as well call me David lol
are you putting the A/C on a B172?
Would the hoses be the same?
Well i guess all but the compressor hoses will but im not sure as ive only ever seen one B14 here and the rest are all B19E's and B200E's
no 200F's for some reason :?

I have no problem spending some time on this for you so i will pull whatever wiring you want, im not however sure that the B200 Wiring will be identical... i.e Im not aware of a full throttle A/C cut-off on my system... but there are a couple of unused wires... maybe thats what its for
Anyways im off to bed now.... speak soon
Ill have a closer look tomorrow

Regards,
David :?

Thats really kind, thanks for you help David!

Yeah, I'll be dropping one set on my B172, and the other will go onto my B18ft conversion. As I said, A/C is super rare here, the only reason I said about the full throttle cut off is that the one car I've studied with A/C had it. The hoses and electrical stuff will all be the same, just the compressor thats different.

I was just after getting a mk3 snowflake button for my cars, and fit a rover 400 condenser, any drier I could find, and a laguna/megane/ any renault/volvo on the 1.7 block. But, the evapourator was proving an issue, and tbh, to be able to get a complete system will be much easier, and fit much better!

Thanks again, and if you want me to ship any PAS stuff over, I'll either badger Pete, or send some of my stuff! Might even work I pay postage for PAS this end, and vice versa? Meh, worry about that when it happens ;)

To be honest i have not had a problem with the hoses at all with my A/C since its been regassed, i did make sure i changed all of the O-rings which is certainly something i reccomend you do,
I have a few spares so when i send you the kits i will throw in an o-ring set if youd like. that includes alll the common hose ones and the 4 for the TX-valve.
all youll need to do is dip them in refrigeration oil or sealant and install them.

The filter/dryer is standard and very common...
