Bolt cover for bumper mounting

Post by trabitom99 »

Has anyone got a spare one of these lying around?

Image

Mine literally blew away in that storm last week, and the car looks a bit lop-sided without it! Would be grateful for any offers ...

<edit>
The one I need should have "LH" written on the back (thanks, Chris!)

I may have one. Someone stole one from Affie whilst she was parked outside my house (!?!?!). Thus, I seem to recall throwing the other into a box in case it was needed one day. I'll have a look tonight.

I wouldn't have known, thanks for the advice! Maybe that's why the old one was such a poor fit, that was a replacement as well. It's the one in the picture with a ring round it, the left one if you're facing the car (being a LHD car I suppose it's no good saying nearside, offside etc.). That picture was taken just a couple of days before it blew off - the car was making lane changes all on it's own accord I'm surprised nothing else disappeared ...

Looking at the photo, I think the one one the left as we see it was wrong, but I also think the one on the right may be too...

Best plan, if you pop off the one you have left on the car (just needs a large bladed flat screwdriver) it'll have either LH or RH on it, and you'll be able to get someone to send you the other one!!! That way you can make both the proper fit.

Could well be the case, may have mixed them up when I changed the radiator about 5 years ago ... Or perhaps I fitted them upside down? :oops:

I checked the back of the remaining one, it's a "RH" so I'd need a "LH" to match it! Cornholio, bogbasic, whichever one of you digs one out first, just send me a PM ...

They only reason I noticed was that the vents I have fitted to Kar looked odd the other day, and saw they were stampted when I pulled them out to check! looked much better the other way ;)
