GEARBOX MOUNTS 360GL 2Lcarb

Hi there, i am in urgent need of a gearbox hanger/ mount. it is the cast metal part that connects the side of the gearbox/final drive to the rear crossmember. it is a five speed box, and the gl 2litre carb model that i have, manual transmission. if looking from the rear of the car to the front, the mount is on the left hand side.

im really needig one as quickly as possible, as the mighty ovlov is off the road for the frist time in ages, and im missing her!

The man is right! I may be able to help. I've actually got all of the underside of a 360 GLT stripped that I'm breaking.

Out of interest, what's happened to your old one?

Thanks for quick responses, will be in touch soon Pete, sounds promising!!

The gearbox had a lot of movement since i bouth the car a couple of months back - finally had a look underneath and it looks like the rubber bushing was completely shot, which had in turn ripped the retaining bolts through the top of the mount (which was pretty heavily corroded!!) - hence lots of gearbox movement when clutch was let out :?

got a set of new rubber mounts ready to go on after i get a mount, so this shoud see a dramatic improvement over the way it had been working!!

another wee thing to tick off on the neverending to-do list!
