I grew up in the wrong era... all I got to see Yvette Fielding and John Leslie make were dubious things out of sticky backed plastic and washing up liquid bottles. Seemingly, this is what Blue Peter used to be about!!!

Racing was quite odd, imo. But nice effort and specially for kids show
Car Classic series is rolling at one channel here, it is all American show with all good and bad things, but it is quite good entertainment, they are restoring old Corvette in it, every episode is from different theme, removing engine or getting bodywork ready for painting etc.
That guy has some incredible garage as it has lift and almost every possible tool that you could imagine, it is very small budget show so that is why I keep watching it, not silly bling or anything like that. Well guy wears rubber gloves all the time and everything is perfectly clean in garage etc. but if you forget all minor things it is rather entertaining.
I have recorded all episodes that I have seen so far so I can laugh after 30 years

Note that John isn't wearing a seatbelt when he drives the car to the workshop - my, how times have changed......

During that time safest place for kid was considered standing and forehead touching windshield... well could be year a two before that, but seatbelts were new thing and people did not see them as safety device, but more of some restricting thing, surely there was only few that actually did use seatbelts, until law did came and still it took long time.MJ wrote:Yeah I spotted that and thought it wasn't very good safety to be showing kids!
Very interesting piece.
Still today there is surprisingly many that are not wearing seatbelts.
Surely V6man knows better
