alternative fuels...

Post by pyro »

hi there folks,
I'm doing an assignment on crude oil for uni (and personal interest), and one of the topics is alternative fuels. just wondered if any one knew of any useful websites or books, or any useful information what so ever!
ie water injection
steam injection
LPG (i know a bit as we've had 3 cars on it, all volvos!)
fuels cells, hydrogen etc.

bit of a strange one but any help will be greatly appreciated! all work will be reference obviously lol

cheers guys and girls

ben

I run a Transit van on standard vegetable oil. There are alot of resources on the internet coving this topic so you should have lots to use.

Try starting here http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/ sm17

Veggie oil here costs 1.20€/l when diesel is 0.995-1.09€/l, also it does not work in 9-10 months of year at all because of temperature, that sucks too in this country

i hope people are not running only veg oil

you should go 50 / 50 that way its a better mix and it will not clog the fuel system.

my mate got a bit skint and just used veg oil which almost killed his toyota hylux (spelling?)
